An online flavour master class

The flavour masterclass is the latest in a series of successful seminars and events held by Sintons’ Neurotrauma team, including several held online during the COVID-19 pandemic which have won strong praise for their insightful and relevant content. The flavour masterclass brought together experts in their field to discuss the topic of rediscovering the joy of food after a life-changing injury.

The event, which was held for a third time on Thursday, November 5, via Zoom, heard from:

Dr Duika L. Burges Watson, Newcastle University lecturer and altered eating research network lead
Sheri Taylor, specialist dietician, Specialist Nutrition Rehab
Matthew Nakonesky, principal speech and language therapist, Speech Therapy North East

Andrew McGowan, head of Neurotrauma at Sintons said: “We regularly receive very strong and positive feedback about our events, and due to the strength of outstanding response we got to our flavour masterclass, we decided to run it again.

As a firm, we have made best use of technology and the digital means available to us to continue to hold events and interact with our audience, and we have truly led the field in this. By holding something as unusual as a flavour masterclass online, we have pushed boundaries and shown what can be done, even in such difficult times as we currently face".
