‘Strong, diligent and attentive’ real estate team praised by Legal 500 2018
The specialist real estate team at law firm Sintons has been hailed by Legal 500 2018 for its “considerable clout” in handling a broad range of matters on behalf of a wide array of clients.
The team was praised for its “strong, diligent and attentive” approach in dealing with the full spectrum of real estate matters – including transactions, real estate finance and portfolio management as well as landlord and tenant issues and development work – on behalf of clients from the healthcare, sport, hospitality, energy and agricultural sectors.
Legal 500 pointed to its “niche expertise” in ecclesiastical property law as being of particular significance in its real estate offering, which sees Sintons have one of the biggest and most experienced teams of its kind in the North East.
A number of lawyers from across the department were recommended, including head of real estate Mark Dobbin, ecclesiastical specialist Laura Peace, partners Victoria Armstrong, Paul Liddle and Alok Loomba for their work on major projects, and real estate finance senior associate David Ferguson. Development specialist Catherine Davies is described as “excellent…she will always find a solution”.
Mark Quigley, managing partner of Sintons, said: “Our real estate team is among the strongest and most capable in the region, and acts for clients around the UK. We are routinely involved in highly complex and significant deals, and our size and experience means we can handle numerous major deals simultaneously, which is something few other firms can compete with.
“We are delighted with this recognition from Legal 500 2018, which rightly acknowledges the breadth of matters we can handle and the depth of our expertise.”
