Sintons shortlisted in two categories at North East Property Awards
The specialist real estate team at law firm Sintons has been shortlisted twice in the North East Property Awards.
Newcastle-based Sintons, which has one of the most sizeable and highly-esteemed property teams in the region, has been shortlisted for Property Law Firm of the Year as well as Commercial Property Deal of the Year for its work on the new £6m Newcastle Eagles stadium development.
The firm’s real estate team has major clients regionally and across the UK, and has nationally-renowned expertise in a host of specialist areas including healthcare, real estate finance, residential development and waste and energy. Major long-standing clients of the firm include the Church Commissioners – which has a national property portfolio worth over £5 billion – and the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Over the past year, the real estate team has worked on a host of significant transactions, and has also continued to add new legal talent to the department to help increase its capacity and capability even further.
The North East Property Awards, run by Insider Media, are independently judged by a panel of property experts and the winners will be revealed at an awards dinner at the Gosforth Marriott on May 3rd.
Mark Dobbin, head of real estate at Sintons, said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted in two categories of the North East Property Awards, which are a highly-respected, independently-judged view of the commercial property sector over the past year. The fact we have been shortlisted in two such sought-after categories is recognition in itself of our work in this area.
“Sintons is well known across the region and beyond for the levels of experience and expertise we have in real estate, and over the past year, we have continued to add to our team to strengthen our department even further. Our department’s size and capability means that we can handle a number of major transactions simultaneously, which many of our rivals simply cannot, and that is a key factor in why Sintons is instructed in many of the biggest and most complex real estate transactions in the North of England.
“We are grateful to Insider Media for their recognition of our work and look forward to the awards dinner next month.”
Philip Cunliffe, regional business editor of Insider, said: “The North East property sector has continued to perform well over the last 12 months, while Newcastle was strongly represented at the recent MIPIM event in France. The awards build on that strength and we’re looking forward to highlighting and showcasing these quality firms and developments from across the region at the awards dinner.”
