Senior appointment for Sintons’ growing real estate finance team

A leading real estate finance specialist has joined the growing team at law firm Sintons.

David Ferguson, who has over 19 years’ experience in acting for major high street banks and commercial lenders and investors, has moved to Newcastle-based Sintons from Womble Bond Dickinson, to take a position as Senior Associate.

David’s wide-ranging areas of expertise include development finance, healthcare, charity, leisure, high street retail, social housing and commercial and residential investment portfolios.

He joins Sintons’ banking team at a time of growth for the department and the firm as a whole, with Sintons recently unveiling its ‘Strategy for Growth’ and vision of setting the standard for legal excellence. The firm is also taking on a number of new senior figures.

The banking team, led by Partner Jane Meikle, was rated highly by Legal 500 2017, which described the team as having “an excellent ethos….clients trust its advice implicitly”.

David Ferguson said: “I am very pleased to join Sintons, a firm which is regarded throughout the region and beyond for its strength, capability and outstanding client service across all of its practice areas.”

Jane Meikle, Head of Banking at Sintons, said “I have had the pleasure of working with David over many years and look forward to working with him again. His recruitment demonstrates our commitment to the region and ambition to achieve significant growth for the wider banking team and firm as a whole. We are confident he will help us to push on with our ambitions.”
