Further expansion for real estate team at Sintons

The specialist real estate department at Sintons has continued its strong growth with the latest in a series of new appointments to the team.

Following the addition of a number of key figures and strategic appointments to its team, Newcastle-based Sintons has expanded again with the appointment of solicitor Alex Wilkins.

Alex’s main areas of expertise include overseeing the sale and acquisition of commercial properties, the day-to-day management of portfolios for institutional investors, and commercial landlord and tenant matters. His appointment further bolsters the team’s ability to meet the needs of substantial commercial property portfolio clients.

He is the latest in a series of specialist lawyers to join Sintons’ real estate team, which is one of the largest and most capable in the North East, and has recently been recognised for its expertise with a triple shortlisting in the North East Property Awards 2019, including for Property Law Firm of the Year.

The team is a market leader locally but also works nationally with an array of major names in real estate, including the Church Commissioners – one of the UK’s biggest commercial landowners, which manages assets worth in excess of £5 billion – and has expertise in an array of niche areas, including healthcare, leisure and hospitality, ecclesiastical, waste, energy and renewables.

Mark Quigley, managing partner of Sintons, said: “Our real estate team has long been known for its capability and breadth of expertise and that is something which only continues to grow as we make key new additions to our team – we are pleased to welcome Alex to Sintons. We act nationally on an array of transactions which often are of the greatest complexity and our client base comprises many of the best-known names in North East business, and often far beyond.

“As a firm, our Strategy for Growth is underpinned by the strategic appointments of new lawyers to strengthen our team in key areas, and the effect of that is certainly being shown in real estate. We continue to win new work and build our reputation even further and are very confident for the future.”
