Breadth of real estate expertise hailed by Legal 500 2019

The expertise of Sintonsreal estate team across an array of sectors is praised by Legal 500 2019.

The team is hailed as being “pre-eminent” in healthcare sector real estate, and its work in acting in landlord/tenant matters and development work for professional partnerships, national NHS Trusts and care providers.

Legal 500 further highlights its expertise and deep levels of experience in real estate finance, residential and commercial development, portfolio management, leisure, property investment and agriculture, as well as its strong presence in the niche area of faith-based law.

The department, led by Mark Dobbin, is also praised for its levels of legal capability, with partners Paul Liddle, David Ferguson, Tom Wills, Laura Peace and Alok Loomba all hailed for their individual expertise.

The real estate department acts for major clients nationally – with longstanding clients including the Church Commissioners for England, with a portfolio valued at over £5 billion – and is regularly involved in some of the most significant commercial property transactions in the North East and beyond.

It has grown significantly in the recent past, with increasing levels of instructions from across the UK coupled with the ongoing recruitment of new lawyers.

Mark Quigley, managing partner of Sintons, said: “Our real estate team is widely regarded as a leading advisor in this area, and our team – one of the the biggest and most capable in the North of England – is regularly appointed to handle the most complex of matters by long-standing and new clients alike.

“We are very pleased with this latest recognition from Legal 500, which rightly hails our wide breadth of expertise, particularly in some niche areas where other firms cannot compete.  Real estate is a key area for Sintons and its ongoing growth as a firm, and the increasing levels of instructions, underpinned by the addition of new legal excellence to the team, stands us in very good stead for the future.”
