Inheritance tax at an all-time high – is it time to review your affairs?

Yesterday’s budget and the documents released alongside it showed that the amount of money collected through inheritance tax will pass £5bn for this first time this year. HM Treasury predict that this figure will rise to £5.3bn in 2017/18 and will eventually increase to £6.5bn by 2022/23.  This reinforces the importance of seeking specialist advise in relation to inheritance tax planning to ensure that you are making the most of the available tax reliefs.
