Client praises the “impeccable” service he received from Sintons in securing settlement for his daughter following accident at school

A dad has praised the “impeccable” service he received from Sintons in securing a settlement for his daughter following an accident at school.

Ellie May Robison broke her arm after falling from a climbing frame three years ago, and after a lengthy legal process, has recently received a settlement of £6,750.

The money will be put into trust for Ellie May, now aged 10, to access when she reaches the age of 18.

Shortly after her accident in September 2015, the Robison family, from Blyth, appointed the specialist personal injury team at Sintons to handle their claim. Sintons is regularly named as one of the leading personal injury specialists in the North, with the most recent Legal 500 praising them as being “outstanding…diligent and client focused…unmatched in the region”.

Michael Clarke, senior litigator at Sintons, handled the case over its near three-year duration, and managed to secure a settlement at the top end of the scale for pay-outs for such accidents.

Ellie May’s dad Jonathan – who was his daughter’s ‘litigation friend’ and representative during the process – praised Michael and the wider Sintons team for their expertise and support during what was a difficult and uncertain time for the family.

He said: “It has been a long and sometimes stressful three years, but Michael at all times remained professional and reassured us during those stressful occasions. He provided great knowledge and knew exactly how to handle the case and dealt with it promptly and efficiently. The information provided by himself and Sintons was second to none.

“I can’t fault Michael in any way shape or form. He handled the case for Ellie May impeccably. The money will go a long way to give Ellie May a good start in life when she reaches 18, and I cannot thank him personally enough for this.

“He fought our corner and negotiated the value of the claim at the higher end of the bracket, and, to be honest, the final settlement was more than we thought we were going to get, and for that I can’t thank him enough.

“Should we ever need to use a personal injury lawyer again, Michael and Sintons would always be the first port of call. I would recommend them to anyone.”

Phil Davison, head of Sintons’ claimant personal injury department, said: “We are absolutely committed to giving our clients the best possible service and will fight to help them secure the justice they deserve. We are proud of our reputation for doing so.

“We are delighted that Jonathan and Ellie May had such a positive experience of working with Michael and our wider team, and that we could secure such a good outcome for the Robison family.”
