Neurotrauma lawyer certified as specialist in her field

A Partner at law firm Sintons has become only of only a handful of lawyers in the North East – and one of three at her own firm – to be awarded a prestigious accreditation which recognises outstanding work in handling brain injury claims.

Kate Jenkins has secured the Brain Injury Specialist accreditation from APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) for her work in the field of specialist and complex brain injury cases.

She becomes one of only seven lawyers in the North East to be awarded the accreditation, with two of the others being colleagues in Sintons’ personal injury team – consultant John Davis and Partner Joanne Willits.

Kate, joint head of the personal injury department at Sintons, has built a reputation as a leading name in handling life-changing and serious injury cases. The firm is well known for its personal injury capability and its specialist team was recently hailed by Legal 500 as being ‘outstanding and unmatched in the region’.

Kate said: “Sintons is widely known and respected for its work in the very specialist field of brain injuries and I am very pleased to have been awarded this accreditation from APIL, which recognises both my work, and that of the team. Furthermore, it speaks volumes about Sintons’ strength in this area that three of the recognised brain injury specialists in the North East are at this firm.”

Mark Quigley, managing partner of Sintons, said: “We congratulate Kate on being awarded this rare and prestigious accreditation, which recognises her outstanding work in this specialist field. It is an achievement indeed for Sintons now to have three of the North East’s Brain Injury Specialists, as certified by APIL, and is indicative of our work and indeed our reputation in this area.

“Our personal injury team is known for its capability and levels of expertise, and has a strong reputation regionally and nationally for both its legal capability and the personal service it offers every one of its clients
