Can you tell us a bit about your career to date?
I have been at Sintons for nearly 25 years – I joined in 2001 as a trainee solicitor and qualified in September 2003. I became a Partner in 2013. As well as my role at Sintons, as Head of NHS Healthcare, I am also a non-executive director for a subsidiary of an NHS Trust and hold two other trustee roles.
What do you like most about working at Sintons?
The thing I most enjoy about working for Sintons is the supportive environment and being able to support the healthcare clients that we act for to help them deliver their invaluable work for patients – as well as our lovely refurbished offices of course!
What does your role involve?
My role at Sintons is working with our key NHS clients and other departments within Sintons to grow our NHS client base and offering. My role involves making connections with people through regular meetings and catching up. My favourite part of my role is spending time with colleagues and with our clients to learn more about the challenges they are facing in their work but also getting to know them better as people.
What have been your personal highlights to date, both personal and professional?
It is difficult to pick out any highlights in particular as there have been so many. One of the highlights is Alison joining us and, more recently, Justine Lee who has brought incredible depth of experience to our team and made us what I firmly believe is the primary care dream team, both in the North East and nationally.
What are your interests outside of work?
Outside of work I spend most of my time looking after my 7-year-old son and walking my two Parsons Terriers. The 7-year-old is definitely easier!
