Trainee Solicitor secures her qualifications and takes up role as Employment lawyer
A trainee solicitor at law firm Sintons has now secured her qualifications and has taken up a role as an employment lawyer.
Laura Tennet, who has been with the Newcastle firm for two years, has completed her training contract, during which time she undertook a series of six-month placements in departments across the firm.
Laura particularly excelled during her time with Sintons’ highly-rated employment team, and has now taken up a permanent role as an employment solicitor.
Each year, Sintons recruits three new trainees onto a two-year training contract, and from last year, now also offers legal apprenticeship opportunities as an alternative way into law for young people not wanting to go to university.
Laura said: “As well as being an outstanding law firm, I have always found Sintons to be a supportive and welcoming place to work, which has helped enormously as I have progressed through my training contract. I have always felt part of a team and share the commitment to ambition and excellence which runs throughout Sintons.
“I am delighted to qualify as a solicitor and especially to take up a permanent role in the employment team. I felt that was a particularly good fit for me, so I look forward to developing my career as an employment specialist.”
Mark Quigley, managing partner of Sintons, said: “Our congratulations go to Laura, who has shown continuous determination and commitment throughout her training contract, and we are very pleased to offer her a permanent role within our employment team.
“At Sintons, we are committed to recruiting and developing the very best legal talent, at all stages of their careers, and we are proud of our record in continuously offering opportunities to trainees – indeed, a number of people who joined us as trainees now hold senior positions within the firm. We wish Laura all the very best as she enters the next phase of her career with us.”
