Dispute Resolution Specialist joins Sintons
A senior dispute resolution specialist lawyer has relocated from outside of the North East to join law firm Sintons.
Lewis Couth has joined Newcastle-based Sintons as an Associate, moving from a leading Yorkshire-based law firm to take on the role.
Northumbria University graduate Lewis handles a range of disputes, but has particular specialism in resolving intellectual property matters, and is one of only a few lawyers in the region to have a specialism in property claims, acting for landlords, estate agents and commercial and letting agents.
The specialist dispute resolution team at Sintons is one of the most highly rated in the North East, and was recently hailed as being “absolutely brilliant” by Legal 500.
Lewis joins Sintons at a time of strong growth for the firm, which has involved a number of other senior lawyers joining departments across the business. Sintons has recently revealed ambitious growth plans, which centre on its goal of setting the standard for legal excellence.
He said: “I am very pleased to join Sintons, the firm has a great reputation and is very ambitious and keen to progress. Newcastle is a place I know and love, so it’s great to be able to come back here. It is an exciting time to be part of things at Sintons and I am looking forward to working with the team to help support the firm’s growth plans.”
Mark Quigley, managing partner of Sintons, said: “Our dispute resolution team has an enviable reputation built up over many years, and we are very pleased to be able to strengthen that further through the addition of Lewis. He has significant experience in what is a highly specialist area, and we are delighted to welcome him to Sintons.
“As an ambitious and growing law firm, we recognise that our people are central to our continuing success. We are always looking to add further to our team, as part of our strategy of recruiting and retaining the very best legal talent.”
