Sintons holds Cyber Protection seminar
An event to highlight the subject of cybersecurity and how to protect from possible attacks is being held by three leading regional tech specialists.
The Cyber Protection seminar will help educate businesses and individuals working in businesses of all sectors about how to put measures in place to guard against data breaches and cyber attacks, and how to insure against them.
The breakfast event will also give tips on how to prevent being hacked, and will also include a demonstration of a live hack.
The Cyber Protection seminar is being held by law firm Sintons, in association with IT managed services provider Perfect Image and Jelf Insurance. Speakers include Lucy Carlin, senior associate at Sintons, who is one of the most highly-rated specialist tech lawyers in the North East and Data Protection specialist solicitor Louise Weatherhead.
Lucy said: “Cyber security is an issue relevant to businesses of all kinds and we know that for many businesses it can be difficult to get a true understanding of the threats posed. With our partners, we have designed a jargon-free, practically-focused session to illustrate the types of threat and most importantly, consider measures to counter those threats.
“We are bringing together some of the leading operators in this area, and our use of a live hack will show clearly just how easily breaches can happen, but equally how simple some of the steps can be to help guard against such an event..”
- The Cyber Protection event is being held on Thursday, February 28, from 8am until 10am, at St James’ Park in Newcastle. It is free to attend but registration is required. To attend, please contact Peter Jennings on jennings@sintons.co.uk or 0191 226 7907.
