Sintons’ corporate team highly ranked by Chambers 2018

The corporate team at law firm Sintons has been hailed as one of the best in the North East by Chambers 2018, which also highlighted the outstanding work of three of its lawyers.

The team, which works with clients regionally and nationally, is known for its work in advising SMEs, owner-managed businesses and private companies in a diverse range of corporate matters from M&A to private equity investments.

Chambers – an annual assessment of law firms and their lawyers, based on factors including examples of their work and client testimonials – noted its particular expertise in the healthcare, energy and leisure sectors.

The publication said the team is made up of “very professional and thorough people; they give you confidence in the deal you are working on with support and guidance”. It follows the findings of Legal 500, which similarly praised the department across the board.

Three of the Partners in the team – Matt Collen, Adrian Dye and Christopher Welch – were also singled out by Chambers for praise:

  • Matt was praised for his “very professional and thorough” advice, which instils “confidence through his support and guidance”.
  • Adrian was said to be “very calm under pressure and takes a very commercial approach”.
  • Christopher is “really helpful, really practical, very professional and knowledgeable”.

Mark Quigley, managing partner of Sintons, said: “Our corporate team is widely regarded as being one of the best in the region, so we are very pleased that again its work is being recognised.

“Our vision as a firm is to set the standard for legal excellence, and in doing so, to become the law firm of choice for individuals, businesses and individuals regionally and nationally. We are pleased that the latest Chambers rankings, coming so soon after our exemplary Legal 500 ratings, offer further proof that we are making great strides towards achieving that.”
