Sintons’ corporate and commercial team praised for outstanding capability and ‘excellent’ client service
The highly-rated corporate and commercial team at Sintons has won further praise for its sector specialism and breadth of expertise, with the latest endorsement of its quality coming from Chambers 2019.
The team, one of the most experienced and capable in the North East, was highlighted for its particular capability in advising SMEs, owner managed businesses and private companies on a wide range of matters, covering the whole sphere from mergers and acquisitions to private equity investments.
Chambers pointed to its service levels as being “excellent”, adding: “They are very responsive and commercially minded”.
Three of the department’s partners – Christopher Welch, Matt Collen and Adrian Dye – were all praised for the quality of their clear, direct legal advice and their outstanding client service in going “above and beyond” what is expected. Senior associate Lucy Cook is also named as an associate to watch.
The findings of Chambers echo the recent ratings from Legal 500 2018, which also highlighted the strength and breadth of the corporate and commercial department and praised its outstanding service to clients.
The endorsements are the latest coup for the team, which has seen significant recent growth, underpinned by a number of key appointments, including those of Lucy Cook and solicitor Luke Philpott. Both have been instrumental in developing Sintons’ offering to startup and tech businesses, culminating in highlights such as a partnership with TusPark Newcastle and premium sponsorship of Newcastle Startup Week.
