Sintons appoints new commercial partner

Law firm Sintons is continuing its strong growth across the firm with the appointment of a new partner.

Matthew Strain becomes a partner in Sintons’ commercial team, which supports businesses regionally and nationally – from pre-startups to multi-site ventures – with the full range of commercial issues, including contracts, shareholder matters and regulation.

Matthew, a highly experienced solicitor in this area of law, specialises in commercial structuring, litigation and supporting corporate transactions. He also has experience in high value, complex cases with international dimensions.

He joins Sintons at a time of growth for the commercial department and the wider firm, and relocates from London for the opportunity.

“I am very pleased to join the partnership of Sintons at a very exciting time of ongoing growth and progress for the firm,” says Matthew, who is also a non-practicing barrister.

“The commercial team has an excellent presence in the marketplace and supports clients across the country at all stages of development in achieving their goals and putting the necessary provision in place for that to happen.

“Sintons has a long and proud heritage and a first-rate reputation for its legal work and client service excellence, and I look forward to continuing to build this.”

Karen Simms, head of the commercial team at Sintons, says: “Matthew has an extremely strong track record in commercial work and we are delighted to welcome him to Sintons.

“Our commercial department is regularly appointed by clients – both new and existing – on a national basis, and our reputation precedes us in terms of both our legal capability and client service. We are very proud of this, and the commitment we have to absolutely every matter we work on, and are always striving to build this even further.

“The team and I are very much looking forward to working alongside Matthew in doing this, as we work together to continue to deliver excellence to our clients.”
