After completion, we will make an application to HM Land Registry and attend to the registration of the property into your name, including registering any mortgage which may be in place.
Land Registry records have now been digitalised and held on a central register which is open to the public. The vast majority of land in England and Wales has now been registered which solves the problem of missing title deeds and speeds up the conveyancing process.
If you are purchasing a property which is unregistered, we will attend to its first registration on your behalf.
The Land Registry deals with applications on a ‘first come first served’ basis, but they are generally very efficient and we should be able to send you evidence that the property has been transferred to you within a few weeks of completion.
If you require any further information please feel free to contact us.
