Rebecca is a Partner in the neurotrauma team at Sintons. She joined the firm in April 2024.

Experience:

  • Rebecca has worked in the field of serious injury and neurotrauma for over 15 years
  • She has represented children and their families, helping them to access privately funded care and therapy and secure compensation/damages awards to ensure that their future needs are met, following a life changing injury
  • Rebecca has worked closely with multidisciplinary teams of case managers, psychologists and therapists and other legal and financial professionals to support clients throughout their cases
  • She has represented clients in many different courts across the UK
  • Rebecca is an APIL accredited Senior Litigator and Brain Injury Specialist (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers)
  • Rebecca has also delivered training sessions and guest lectures regarding running serious injury cases
  • She has been involved with APIL for almost 8 years and in her role as North East Regional Coordinator, she has arranged numerous regional meetings covering a number of legal and medical topics
  • Rebecca was previously the Chair, Secretary and Treasurer of Headway Central Northumberland, a branch of Headway the Brain Injury Association, between 2010 and 2020, and the Vice Chair of the Tees Valley Law Society

  • Represented and secured an 8 figure settlement for an 8 year old girl who suffered a very severe traumatic brain injury in a road traffic accident in 2012
  • Represented and secured an 8 figure settlement for a 10 year old boy who was seriously injured and suffered a very severe brain injury in a road traffic accident in 2012
  • Represented and secured an 8 figure settlement for a 4 year old girl who was seriously injured and sustained a very severe brain injury and a hemiplegia in a road traffic accident in 2014
  • Represented a 13 year old boy who sustained a severe brain injury and loss of vision in a road traffic accident in 2014

Outside work, Rebecca likes to read, cook, walk her dog and spend time with her husband and little girl.
