Louise is an associate in the Commercial department. She advises commercial clients on legal issues in the technology sector, specialising in software solutions such as SaaS, PaaS, software licences and software development agreements.

Louise advises on a range of commercial matters, including agency, framework agreements, supply and outsourcing agreements, terms and conditions, sponsorship agreements and business policies.

Louise is a data protection expert.  She advises on data protection compliance and e-privacy matters.

Louise works closely with NHS Trusts and other healthcare sector organisations in relation to their information governance arrangements and data protection matters.

Louise acts as trusted advisor to a number of faith-based institutions such as the Anglican Church and Methodist Church where she guides clients on a variety of data protection issues.

In Louise’s spare time, she enjoys gardening, walking, travelling, scuba diving and is a keen skier.

• Supporting businesses and healthcare organisations on IT agreements, projects and transactions
• Guiding clients through breach notification protocols, advising on reporting thresholds and supporting engagement with the Information Commission and data subjects
• Advising NHS Trusts, PCN’s and other healthcare organisations in relation to their data sharing arrangements, IG compliance and data security measures
• Supporting companies with subject access requests and the exercise of other data subject rights
• Drafting and negotiating data processing and data sharing agreements
• Directing clients in relation to EU Representation, data transfers outside of the UK and advising on appropriate data transfer mechanisms
• Supporting corporate transactions, identifying commercial risks and data protection liabilities
• Providing training to contract and project managers on data protection legislation and raising data consciousness of staff
• Drafting data protection policies and privacy notices and advising on governance of handling and processing personal data; and
