Julie joined Sintons as a partner in August 2022. She has experience in many areas of commercial property work including ecclesiastical, education and charity property.


  • Commercial experience includes acquisitions and disposals, including development and site assembly, property funding and secured lending, from single properties through to portfolio acquisitions, but with a bias towards landlord and tenant and property management
  • Julie has acted for landlords including an international estate agency firm in respect of its property holdings, a property investment fund in respect of its national portfolio, individual and corporate landlords in respect of their investments including industrial estates, offices and retail premises and tenants from national high street retailers to local shops and offices, corporate occupiers in the industrial and office industries, and leisure operators
  • Ecclesiastical experience includes advice to diocesan boards of finance, parochial church councils and Incumbents in respect of their property holdings including glebe, vicarages, churches and church yards

Recent Instructions include:

  • The sale of an industrial estate for £2.5m
  • Various conditional contracts/options for sale of land to developers
  • Advising a local PCC in respect of a National Highways widening scheme affecting a former burial ground including various licences to carry out works, agreement for lease and transfer of part in compliance with faculty jurisdiction
  • Various sales of former vicarages
  • Acquisition of a large city centre site for the creation of a new community church, including the  simultaneous purchase of the long leasehold interest (former nightclub units) and its surrender and the preparation and negotiation of a new lease appropriate for the intended use
  • The grant of an option and subsequent easement over land as part of a wind farm development
  • Acting on behalf of a landlord clients in respect of the renewal of a number of high street retail leases
  • Dealing with the property aspects of a number of academy conversions including statutory transfers of land
