Caitlin joined Sintons in October 2021 as a paralegal within our Court of Protection team.

  • Caitlin studied law at Durham University, where she was also involved in the pro-bono society
  • She has personal experience of dealing with individuals who have sustained life-changing injuries
  • Caitlin has experience of volunteering with the charity Headway
  • The Wills, Trusts & Probate Team won Private Client Team of the Year at the 2019 Northern Law Awards and has been shortlisted for Private Client Team of the year in the Legal 500’s Northern Powerhouse Awards 2023

Outside of work, Caitlin is the member of a cheerleading team and volunteers with the Newcastle branch of Smart Works, an organisation which provides job coaching and interview clothing to women getting back into employment.

Caitlin was listed as a key individual in the Legal 500 2024 Guide where it was said “Caitlin Edwards is a rising star. Often having the forward-facing contact with our clients, she bears the brunt of their frustrations (very few brain-injured clients like having Court of Protection involvement) and manages their behaviour and expectations incredibly well. She sets clear boundaries, is respectful, thorough, knowledgeable, and passionate about her work.”

Legal 500 2022 stated that “the Court of Protection team are quick, efficient and knowledgeable. They are extremely professional and able. Their client care is of a high level.”

The private client team was hailed as “pleasant, courteous and, from my experience, efficient” in the Chambers UK 2020 Guide with another client saying “It’s an excellent service, overall, and I would not hesitate to use the firm again.

The Chambers UK 2019 Guide described the personal tax, trusts and probate team as being “highly professional and offering solid advice, clearly given, followed by efficient and timely preparation of the relevant documentation.”
