SRA Innovate 2018: Reaching new markets: how consumers choose and use legal services
Law firm Sintons was chosen to share its expertise and insight into the fast-changing legal marketplace at a major event which attracted delegates from across the North of England.
The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) held one of its three national events in Newcastle earlier this week, which addressed the issue of how law firms can innovate and modernise to help stay ahead of the game, while maintaining their high professional standards and reputations.
The regulatory body launched the SRA Innovate programme in 2016, which initially focused on London and the South East, but is now being rolled out nationally. It supports law firms of all sizes in how to make their operations fit for the future, and the SRA is reforming its rules with the aim of making it easier for firms to do business.
Newcastle-based Sintons were invited to take part in the event, which attracted solicitors and legal professionals from across the whole North, due to their award-winning track record in using technology and sector-leading initiatives to maximum effect.
Marketing manager David Pritchard, who has overseen the hugely successful creation and implementation of the firm’s digital strategy, addressed delegates on how to reach new markets and gave an insight into how consumers choose and use legal services.
Presentations were also given from senior SRA figures, as well as from a number of other leading figures from the region’s legal community.
Mark Quigley, managing partner of Sintons, who attended the event at Newcastle’s Crowne Plaza, said: “The legal world remains a traditional industry in many ways, yet the nature of today’s world means that firms are having to be increasingly agile and innovative to remain competitive. The work we have done at Sintons has strengthened our position at the very forefront of the legal industry, and the ongoing investment we have made in our digital offering has been a huge success. Only recently, our website was named as one of the fastest-growing legal sites in the UK, which is testament to the expertise and outstanding work of our team.
“We were delighted to be involved in this SRA Innovate event, and are supporters of its aims to modernise, simplify and futureproof the sector. The fact we were invited to share our insights into this topic at such a significant event illustrates the esteem in which Sintons are held and recognises our sector-leading work. David gave an excellent presentation which I am sure will have given inspiration and food for thought to many.”
