Law firm Sintons is again committing its support to National Apprenticeship Week to highlight the vital impact such appointments can make in a business.
Sintons is a longstanding champion of offering career opportunities to young people, with a growing array of apprentices now forming part of its people.
The law firm has recruited apprentices in a number of areas of the business over several years, from solicitor apprentices through to marketing and front of house roles, and currently employs five.
Leah Greenwell and Nathan Johnson are senior solicitor apprentices, who are in year five of their six-year qualification process, and Saffron Sinclair and Sabrina Jackland are solicitor apprentices. Andrew White became Sintons’ most recent addition, becoming a digital marketing apprentice with the firm.
Sintons commits to offer training and development to each apprentice, with many leading figures in their field, both regionally and nationally, overseeing their progress.
The solicitor apprentices also spend one day each week at university to study for their law degree, which runs alongside their workplace training.
National Apprenticeship Week, which runs from February 7 to 11, celebrates the contribution of apprentices and the value they bring to businesses. It also helps to show young people who are looking to enter the world of work the apprenticeship opportunities that exist in a host of sectors.
Claire Atkins, head of people services at Sintons, said Sintons are pleased to support National Apprenticeship Week and shine a light on the value of apprenticeships.
“We are very proud of the long and successful track record we have in offering career opportunities to young people, and our commitment to apprenticeships forms a key part of that,” she said.
“Over the years, we have recruited apprentices in a number of areas of the business, and see the value excellent young people bring to Sintons and the huge progress and experience they gain in return, all while securing a qualification and receiving a salary.
