Sintons support North East cancer charity FACT

Sintons has again shown its support for a North East cancer charity by throwing its weight behind its flagship annual event.

The specialist asbestos team at Sintons are attending the FACT (Fighting All Cancers Together) Annual Ball, held this Saturday, together with a number of guests of the Newcastle law firm.

Sintons is a long-standing backer of FACT and its asbestos team works with many people who have benefitted from the charity’s support.

FACT, whose range of support services extends to the family and friends of cancer patients, has grown significantly since being established in 2008, and recently moved into a new headquarters in Swalwell, named as Denise Robertson House in tribute to its TV agony aunt patron who passed away last year.

Specialist asbestos solicitor Raelene Lingam – the only asbestos specialist in the North of England to be recommended in the latest Legal 500 – said: “FACT is a charity we are only too keen to support, having seen first-hand from our clients the huge positive effect FACT’s work has on the lives of cancer patients and their loved ones. The team do an incredible and selfless job and help so many people across the whole region each year. Their annual ball is always a great occasion which raises funds for such a vital cause too. We are very much looking forward to attending.”
