Sintons’ Singers help raise money for nominated charity, Daft as a Brush
Law firm Sintons is bringing Christmas cheer to shoppers, while also raising money for its staff charity, by assembling a choir to perform favourite festive songs.
Sintons’ Singers are comprised of employees from across the Newcastle-based firm, and were created to help raise money for Sintons’ nominated charity, Daft as a Brush.
The choir has already performed at the Freeman Hospital Northern Centre for Cancer Care and will also be reciting their repertoire for shoppers in Eldon Square.
Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care has been chosen by Sintons’ staff as its charity for two years, with a goal being set to raise £15,000 to purchase a new custom-made ambulance. The much-loved charity offers free transport to and from hospital appointments for chemotherapy and radiotherapy patients, and covers in and around Newcastle, North and South Tyneside, Northumberland and Durham.
Phil Ridley, practice director of Sintons – and himself a member of Sintons’ Singers – said: “We are known for our commitment to supporting the community in which we are based however we can, and through the creation of Sintons’ Singers, hopefully we can bring a bit of Christmas cheer while also raising money for our staff charity.
“At Sintons, our people are central to the business and in offering the unrivalled service we are renowned for. We have a diverse range of out-of-hours activities and opportunities, with the choir being one, which help to build both our team internally and our links with the wider community. Sintons’ Singers is one example of that and is something myself and everyone else in the choir has very much enjoyed being part of.”
