Sintons’ Singers return to raise money for nominated charity, Daft as a Brush
The festive choir at law firm Sintons, which has raised hundreds of pounds for charity through its Christmas performances, is back for a third year with appearances planned in two of the region’s biggest shopping venues.
Sintons’ Singers is comprised of employees from across the Newcastle-based firm, and was established three years ago to help raise money for charity. This year, the choir will raise vital funds for Sintons’ nominated charity, Daft as a Brush.
Having performed in Eldon Square for the past two years, Sintons’ Singers will this year return for a third time, as well as performing their repertoire of festive songs at the MetroCentre.
Sintons is supporting Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care as its nominated charity for two years, with a goal being set to raise £15,000 to purchase a new custom-made ambulance. The much-loved charity offers free transport to and from hospital appointments for chemotherapy and radiotherapy patients, and covers in and around Newcastle, North and South Tyneside, Northumberland and Durham.
Mark Quigley, managing partner of Sintons, said: “We are known for our commitment to supporting our community in any way we can, and through the creation and subsequent annual return of Sintons’ Singers, hopefully we can bring a bit of Christmas cheer while also raising money for a fantastic charity.
“At Sintons, our people are central to the business and we are proud of the great team spirit and strong working relationships we have here. We have a diverse range of out-of-hours activities and opportunities, with the choir being one, which help to build both our team internally and our links with the wider community.
“Our choir has dedicated a significant amount of time and effort to perfecting their performance, which is all in aid of a hugely worthy cause in Daft as a Brush, and we’re very proud to continue to raise funds on their behalf.”
