Sintons raises more than £6,000 for the Great North Air Ambulance
Law firm Sintons has raised more than £6,000 in vital funding for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS).
GNAAS was chosen by Newcastle-based Sintons’ staff as its annual charity last year, and the law firm undertook a variety of fundraising activities to help fund its lifesaving work.
The charity operates three helicopters across the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria, and responds to emergencies 365 days a year. It receives more than 1,000 call-outs every year, and has specialist trauma doctors and paramedics on board to bring accident and emergency expertise direct to the scene of an accident.
During its time as Sintons’ nominated staff charity, £6,301 was raised for GNAAS.
Mark Quigley, managing partner of Sintons, said: “GNAAS is a truly lifesaving charity which relies on donations to keep their three helicopters in the air, so it was with great pleasure that we chose them as our Sintons’ staff charity.
“We are delighted to hand over more than £6,000 to GNAAS, which will help to support the vital role it plays in emergency care across the whole region.”
