Three of Sintons’ team will be taking on the world’s largest half marathon to raise money for the firm charity, The Percy Hedley Foundation.

Trainee Solicitor Lucy Milnthorp, Senior Associate Hannah Fitzpatrick and Solicitor Charlotte Johnston are all taking part in this year’s Great North Run on Sunday 8 September.

Hannah, who works in Sintons’ neurotrauma team, said: “Earlier this year, Sintons’ staff voted to choose The Percy Hedley Foundation as our firm charity and over the next two years we’ll all be helping raise money to support the Foundation’s work.

“Charlotte, Lucy and I chose to contribute through our Great North Run sponsorship and we’re looking forward to being part of #TeamPercyHedley on the big day!”

Hannah has completed the race six times before, Lucy has completed it once before and this will be Charlotte’s first time taking part.

Their fundraising is part of Sintons’ two-year programme of events in aid of The Percy Hedley Foundation which most recently has included a charity golf event, which raised nearly £5,000 in one day.

The Percy Hedley Foundation was founded in 1953 as a special school for children with Cerebral Palsy. When the first school opened there were only 12 students.

Today, the charity supports people with complex learning difficulties, disabilities and additional communication needs through its two schools, college, homes and Horizons lifelong learning service.

Charlotte, Hannah and Lucy will complete the 13.1 mile course from Newcastle to South Shields on Sunday 8 September.
