Sintons makes top-level appointment
A lawyer regularly hailed as being one of the leaders in his field regionally and nationally is joining law firm Sintons.
John Davis, a top-rated personal injury lawyer who was regional managing partner at Irwin Mitchell for over a decade, is joining Newcastle-based Sintons as a consultant from May.
John – who specialises in representing people with brain, spinal cord and other life-changing injuries – has handled countless major cases across the UK during his 30-year career, and he has his team have secured damages payments totalling well over £100million for clients.
He joins Sintons, which boasts a top-ranked personal injury department known for its expertise and personal client-centric service, at a time of growth for the firm. John’s appointment has been hailed by Sintons as a “statement of our intent”.
One of the most highly-esteemed lawyers in his field in the UK, John attracts praise from far and wide for his work. Regularly named by Legal 500 as one of the leading lawyers in the North of England in his area of specialism, he has also been described by Chambers legal directory as “a technically brilliant lawyer” who is “probably the leading lawyer in the North East on neurological trauma”.
John, a Fellow of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), is also widely known for his work with disability charities, for which he was awarded an MBE in 2012.
He said: “Sintons is a first-rate law firm with a strong reputation for expertise and quality across the board. They are known for the unrivalled service they offer to clients and that was a hugely important factor in me coming here – in handling the claims of people who have suffered life-changing injuries, as well as the expertise to secure access to early rehabilitation and treatment and the best possible settlement, an outstanding law firm must also appreciate the value of a deeply personal service. There is no doubt Sintons does that.
“I am very pleased to be joining Sintons at this very exciting time for the firm.”
Mark Quigley, Managing Partner of Sintons, said: “John is one of the very best lawyers in his field and the fact he is joining us is a clear indication of our ambition as we look to continue to grow and develop the business.
“Our vision as a firm is to set the standard for legal excellence and in doing so to become the law firm of choice for individuals, businesses and organisations regionally and nationally. John’s arrival will strengthen our already first-rate personal injury department, and I am certain will have a hugely positive effect on the firm as a whole.”
