Sintons helps bring World Cuisine to Kingdom
Kingdom World Cuisine has opened its doors at the Haymarket Hub with the assistance of Law firm Sintons to secure the lease and licence for this exciting new venture.
A family run business, Kingdom is the first food operator for the Haymarket Hub above the metro station with fantastic views of the city and iconic landmarks surrounding it. The restaurant offers cuisine from around the world with an open kitchen and buffet area where chefs create the dishes before the customer’s eyes. With live music and entertainment complementing the dining experience the venue is vibrant and fun.
Kingdom employs between 40 and 50 staff creating significant employment in the area.
Sarah Parish, Commercial Property specialist at Sintons handled the lease of the venue which is one of the largest recently rented properties in the North East.
Sintons Licensing Partner, Sarah Smith, obtained the premises licence enabling the premises to offer alcohol and entertainment. As the premises lies with the Cumulative Impact Policy Area as defined by Newcastle City Council’s Licensing Policy, the application was complicated but following consultation with the Police and Environmental Health Officer terms were negotiated.
Sarah Parish said, “We were delighted to help Kingdom in securing their lease and licence for their new business. The unit was designated as a leisure unit when the Hub was originally developed. It has taken some time to find the right investor but Kingdom World Cuisines is a perfect fit. The authorities’ support of this investment not only enhances in the area but has created many jobs for local people.”
A restaurant spokesman commented, “We are extremely excited to have opened this new venture in the Haymarket Hub. The venue offers great views of the city and combined with the range of food, we feel that Kingdom Buffet is a fantastic dining experience.”
