Sintons delighted to sponsor major charity cycling event

Law firm Sintons has been announced as the headline sponsor of a major charity cycling event.

The Kielder 26 Mile Sponsored Bike Ride is set to attract participants of all ages from across the UK, who will cycle the beautiful shoreline of Kielder Water while raising money for Calvert Kielder.

Calvert Kielder has, for 33 years, been providing challenging and adventurous outdoor activities for over 6,000 disabled children and adults together with their family, friends and carers, within the setting of Kielder Water & Forest Park.

As well as sponsoring the event on May 19, members of Sintons’ specialist Neurotrauma and Court of Protection teams will be taking part and aim to raise thousands of pounds for Calvert Kielder.

John Davis, consultant in Sintons’ Neurotrauma team, said: “This promises to be a fantastic occasion for cyclists young and old to cycle in the stunning surroundings of Kielder Water while also raising vital funds for the much-loved Calvert Kielder.

“Myself and the team at Sintons have worked with many people and families over the years whose lives have been hugely enriched through the work of the charity, and particularly through their experiences at Calvert Kielder. Having seen first-hand the positive impact this has made, I am delighted Sintons can support this event and I am very much looking forward to taking part.”

Calvert Kielder CEO Peter Cockerill added: “We are very grateful to Sintons for their support and sponsorship of the bike ride. It is set to be a really great event, promising fun for all ages and abilities alongside some spectacular scenery and of course all that peddling won’t be in vain – the fact that monies raised will go back into the charity and help us continue our good work should be a good motivator!”
