Sintons’ charity pool tournament returns for 2022

More than 50 people are signed up to take part in a bi-annual charity pool tournament to raise funds for Sintons’ new, nominated firm charity The People’s Kitchen.

The event is attracting professionals from across the region and is organised by Sintons’ trainee group and marketing team to help generate funds for their annual trainee challenge.

The firm’s young lawyers are renowned for their ambitious and gruelling annual challenges, which this year we see them Paddle The Bann, a two-day 58km canoeing expedition from Lough Neagh in Ireland to Coleraine on the coast of the Atlantic.

Previous challenges have included have included the 136-mile Coast to Coast cycle from Whitehaven to Tynemouth; the Three Peaks Challenge of scaling Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon; walking St Cuthbert’s Way; and the 140-mile Port2Port cycling expedition between Newcastle and Amsterdam.

“The People’s Kitchen makes a huge contribution to our local community and is truly a lifeline for many vulnerable people in our city,” says David Pritchard, head of marketing at Sintons.

“Being in the immediate vicinity of The Cube, we see first-hand the demand for its resources and the outstanding work of its team of volunteers. The commitment The People’s Kitchen shows in giving support to those who need it most, during times which are extremely and increasingly difficult for so many, is absolutely admirable.”

“We are delighted to be working with The People’s Kitchen for the next two years.”

The pool tournament, will be held at Spot White in Newcastle and if you would like to take part, you can register here.
