Sintons’ charity golf day returns for 2022
A golf day is being held by Sintons to raise vital funds for its newly-appointed staff charity.
Each year, Sintons organises an array of events on behalf of its nominated charity, which is the focus of the firm’s fundraising for two years.
Its golf events are always especially popular and attract teams and players from across the North East.
This year, Sintons’ charity golf day will be held on Wednesday, June 1, at its usual location of Close House, home to the world’s only two Lee Westwood courses.
Sintons recently announced its new staff charity as being The People’s Kitchen, which will be the beneficiary of the law firm’s fundraising efforts until 2024.
The golf day, which will cost £300 per team of four to enter, will comprise bacon sandwiches on arrival at 10am and a shotgun start for the golf thereafter. A two-course meal and prize-giving will round off the day.
Prizes will be given for the longest drive, and for the the hole in one and ‘beat the pro’ challenges.
“Our golf days are always hugely popular events in the Sintons’ calendar, and this year looks to be no exception with strong interest already in our charity golf day,” says Christopher Welch, managing partner of Sintons.
“For many months, our events had to be postponed due to the restrictions of the pandemic, so it is fantastic to see their return being so well supported by clients and contemporaries alike.
“Our charity golf day is always a hugely enjoyable occasion, enjoyed by golfers and non-golfers alike, the latter – like myself – making an appearance in the 19th hole!
“But while enjoying what will be a great day, we will be raising vital funds for our new staff charity, an organisation which does so much good for so many people and one which we are really delighted to help support.”
