Sintons Charity Golf Day raises funds for firm charity Daft as a Brush
The golf day saw 18 teams competing in the event, held at Close House, home to the world’s only two Lee Westwood courses and host of the British Masters in 2018 and 2020.
A grand total of £ 2,898.60 was raised from the event, which will go towards the £15,000 fundraising target Sintons has set for much-loved Daft as a Brush.
The charity provides staffed custom-made vehicles to offer free transport to and from hospital appointments for chemotherapy and radiotherapy patients. The charity covers in and around Newcastle, North and South Tyneside, Northumberland and Durham. Sintons’ fundraising will cover the cost of a liveried Daft as a Brush ambulance.
Mark Quigley, managing partner of Sintons, said: “This was another superb Sintons event, again organised to perfection by our marketing team, which attracted a record number of participants for one of our golf days. It was an informal and hugely enjoyable occasion and congratulations go to Kymel Trading for being the winning team.
“We have raised another fantastic sum of money for Daft as a Brush, and we are now well on the way to achieving our target of £15,000, which will allow us to fulfil our goal of purchasing an ambulance. It is a very special cause, which plays such an important role in the lives of so many cancer patients across the region, and we are very grateful to everyone involved in this event for their generous donations and support.”
