Sintons’ asbestos lawyer praised in the 2016 Legal 500

One of Sintons' asbestos lawyers has become the only specialist in her field in the North of England to be singled out for praise by Legal 500.

Raelene Lingam, an asbestos specialist in Sintons' dedicated industrial disease team, was highlighted by Legal 500 2016 for her deep knowledge of mesothelioma and asbestos matters.

Raelene, who was a senior intensive care nurse prior to becoming a lawyer, joined Sintons last year, and has earned praise from clients and peers alike for her medical expertise, specialist knowledge and sensitivity in client care.

Her high rating echoes the plaudits Sintons received throughout Legal 500 2016, in which its personal injury team – of which industrial disease is part – received a top-tier ranking for a second consecutive year, making it one of the best teams in the North of England.

It won particular praise for its levels of service, which "exceed clients' expectations".

The Legal 500 is widely regarded as the clients' guide to the best law firms and top lawyers in the UK. Research is based on feedback from clients, submissions from law firms and interviews with leading lawyers and a team of researchers who have unrivalled experience in the market.

Alan Dawson, Chairman of Sintons, said: “We work widely in asbestos and related claims from across the UK and even abroad involving UK ex-pats, and are well respected for our expertise in industrial disease and indeed throughout our whole personal injury department.

"Raelene is unique in her offering, in that she combines her medical background with legal expertise to offer clients an outstanding level of service, understanding of their case, and the ability to handle their claim with true sensitivity and personal approach.

"We are delighted to have been recognised in this way. Outstanding legal advice combined with deep personal service is the cornerstone of Sintons, so it is a real endorsement of our work that this has been highlighted by Legal 500."
