Sintons advises on exclusive new city centre club
London has them, so too does New York and now the first outside the capital has just opened in the region. Sophisticated and stylish, discreet and discerning – those are the words that best describe the latest up-market leisure venue in Newcastle. The recently opened Hood Street Club, right in the centre of the city, offers a sophisticated experience for people looking for a little luxury and first class service.
Hood Street Club is leisure-operator Fluid Group’s latest opening in a prime city centre location, a stone’s throw from Grey’s Monument. It is Newcastle’s answer to those clubs found tucked away in some of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities. Clubs so chic, so discerning and so sophisticated that they remain a delicious secret, known only to the city’s movers and shakers, offering the finest of everything from drinks to décor.
Mark Dobbin, partner in the Real Estate department at Sintons LLP, who acted for Fluid Group said: “This is another example of a leading leisure operator in the region creating a distinctive, new high quality venue that extends the choice for people looking to go for a night out in comfortable surroundings where they can enjoy time with their friends.
“We’ve acted for Fluid for a number of years and wish them well in this latest venture.”
Ollie Vaulkard of Fluid Group said: “Mark and his colleagues are great to have involved in our business as they understand the leisure sector and are very responsive. In a nice co-incidence, this building was one of my father’s first leisure venues in Newcastle in the late 1970’s. People of a certain age now will remember it as Grobs or 42nd Street. I hope some of my Dad’s good fortune will remain in the building and Hood Street Club will become a highly successful format for today’s market.”
