Sarah Baker appointed as head of risk and compliance

A new head of risk and compliance has joined Sintons, bringing with her more than 15 years’ experience of working in compliance across the insurance and legal sectors.

Sarah Baker, who holds a Level 6 International Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention, will work with senior colleagues to ensure robust risk management and compliance procedures are in place across the firm.

On joining the firm, Sarah said: “After studying a degree in psychology, I became interested in compliance and have built my career in this area, working with a variety of organisations in the North East.

“Now, I’m excited to further my career at Sintons, one of the most well-respected law firms in my home town of Newcastle.”

Sarah has links with a wide range of regulatory bodies and is a professional member of the International Compliance Association, maintaining up to date knowledge in the fast-moving field of compliance.

She also holds a General Data Protection Regulation Foundation from the International Board for IT Governance Qualifications.
