Quiz night to be held to raise money for 2022 Trainee Challenge and The People’s Kitchen

The event, which will be held at Shearer’s Bar in Newcastle will raise money for The People’s Kitchen, which is Sintons’ nominated firm charity, and will form part of the fundraising for this year’s Trainee Challenge.

Each year, Sintons’ group of graduates and solicitor apprentices take on a gruelling physical challenge to generate vital funds for the firm’s charity. This year, the 11-strong group are paddling the Bann, a two-day 58km canoeing expedition from Lough Neagh in Ireland to Coleraine on the coast of the Atlantic.

To date, the firm’s trainee group has raised thousands of pounds for local charities through their previous challenges, which have included the 136 mile Coast to Coast cycle from Whitehaven to Tynemouth; the Three Peaks Challenge of scaling Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon; walking St Cuthbert’s Way; and the 140-mile Port2Port cycling expedition between Newcastle and Amsterdam.

The quiz night, hosted by David Pritchard and Peter Jennings from Sintons’ marketing team, will include the quiz, a raffle, heads and tails and other activities.

“It is absolutely fantastic that we have had such a huge level of interest in this quiz night from people who are clearly keen to get back to socialising with colleagues and contemporaries in person,” says David Pritchard, head of marketing and chair of Sintons’ CSR committee.

“As well as providing a much-needed opportunity for people to socialise again, our quiz night will raise vital funds for The People’s Kitchen. We’d urge people to come along, have a great time, and help support a great cause which does so much for people in our region.”
