Quiz night raises over £1,300 for inspirational Charity

The first fundraising event in a new partnership between law firm Sintons and an inspirational children’s charity has raised over £1,300.

More than 100 people attended a quiz in aid of the Child Brain Injury Trust, held at Nine bar at St James’ Park last night, which was organised by Newcastle-based Sintons.

Clients and contacts of the law firm collectively bought 21 tables at the event, and further support was given through the donation of prizes for the raffle.

The grand total raised from the event was £1,392.14.

The quiz marked the first event in Sintons’ partnership with the Child Brain Injury Trust, a national charity which supports children, young people and their families to adapt to life after an acquired brain injury.

The partnership has seen Sintons selected as the sole North East legal firm to work with the charity, in recognition of its expertise in representing clients who have sustained life-changing injuries, as well as its ability to support families affected by such situations.

Mark Quigley, managing partner of Sintons, who attended the event, said: “The Child Brain Injury Trust is a truly inspirational charity, which supports children, young people and families throughout the most difficult of circumstances, and enables them to start rebuilding their lives. We have been both impressed and humbled by their work, and we are delighted to have become the only law firm in the North East to work alongside them.

“Fundraising to support the work of the Child Brain Injury Trust is something we are delighted to do, and the quiz night was a really great occasion enjoyed by all, which provided a great opportunity for us to socialise with our business connections in an informal environment, while raising vital funds for the charity.

“My grateful thanks go to everyone who attended the quiz and donated prizes for the raffle and helped us to raise this fantastic amount.”
