Mr S 74 year old heating engineer exposed while working at the Eastern Electricity Board 1963-79 receives £175,000

Mr S a 74 year old retired heating engineer was exposed to asbestos while fitting domestic boilers for Eastern Electricity Board between 1963–1979.  He sadly developed mesothelioma after moving abroad to enjoy his retirement. We were able to fulfil his wish of settling his claim during his lifetime, so he could enjoy what little time he had left with his wife and family.

Within weeks of our initial instruction, he was successfully awarded a PWCA government sum lump award of £13,900 plus a weekly Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit allowance even though he was now living outside the UK when he was diagnosed. This helped reduce some of the financial burdens of being diagnosed with a terminal illness.

Mr J 64 year old carpenter exposed while working for a Local Authority between 1976-84 was awarded a six figure settlement

Mr J a 64 year old carpenter who was sadly still working at the time of his mesothelioma diagnosis, had developed the illness through the asbestos he was exposed to while working for a Local Authority between 1976 -1982.  Mr J suffered a very aggressive form of mesothelioma and sadly died within 4 months of his diagnosis.  Due to the circumstances of his claim it was worth a lot more if settled during his lifetime. Through hard work and sheer determination, Raelene was able to settle his claim within 12 weeks of meeting Mr J.

In addition within weeks of our instruction Raelene was able to assist him with obtaining a PWCA government lump sum award of £26,500 plus a weekly Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit allowance to help him cope with the demands of his illness.
