Sintons are delighted to announce that the annual Trainee Challenge has the backing of prestigious outdoor performance brand Montane, whose headquarters are based in the North East.
The 2026 Trainee Challenge, which will happen in August, will see 12 of Sintons trainees follow – and complete – the 26.2 miles long route of the London Marathon in one day. The trainees’ fitness, stamina and energy levels will all be tested and their aim is to fundraise towards the £20, 000 target for Sintons current chosen charity St Oswald’s Hospice.
Montane make high performance endurance clothing and equipment and hold a reputation for creating lightweight, breathable kit for varying climates and different physical challenges. Montane have kindly donated performance t-shirts for each of the trainees to wear during their London Marathon efforts.
Caitlin Edwards who is a trainee at Sintons said, “We’re looking forward – perhaps with a bit of apprehension – about the upcoming challenge. Doing the challenge wearing Montane and feeling supported by such a respected North East brand will hopefully give us confidence as we stride towards the finishing point.”
