One hundred patients, medical staff, carers and families from Macmillan Cancer Support enjoyed a night watching the North East’s most successful ever sporting team thanks to law firm Sintons.
The group watched Esh Group Eagles Newcastle beat Sheffield Sharks on Friday, after Newcastle based Sintons donated 100 tickets to Macmillan, which is the law firm’s charity of 2014.
Sintons selected Macmillan as its charity of the year in memory of much loved Partner and real estate lawyer Andrew Walker, who died last year aged 54, after a brief battle with cancer. Macmillan has also supported many other members of staff and their families over the years.
The match was sponsored by Sintons, who are also one of the sponsors of the Eagles and its head coach Fabulous Flournoy.

Their work is life changing and so many people at Sintons have had experience, directly and indirectly, of how fantastic they really are.
“Through donating tickets to an occasion as fun, exciting and thoroughly enjoyable as a night at the basketball, we hopefully brought a bit of well deserved downtime to people who really need it.”
