Neurotrauma team expands with new key appointment

A lawyer is relocating from London to join the nationally-renowned neurotrauma team at law firm Sintons.

Sarah Askew has spent five years at major national law firm Leigh Day, one of the UK’s biggest names in personal injury work, where she has been involved in many complex high-value serious injury cases.

Sarah is also one of the few solicitor advocates in the field, able to appear in the High Court and at inquests.

Now, she is moving North to become part of the neurotrauma team at Sintons, which acts for clients across the UK from its bases in Newcastle and York. The firm has established itself as a key player in serious injury work nationally and is regarded as being one of the leading names in complex brain and spinal cases.

The fast-growing team comprises a number of leading specialist lawyers including consultant John Davis – regularly cited as one of the UK’s leading serious injury solicitors – and head of personal injury Phil Davison, who, alongside John, is continuously named by Legal 500 as one of the leading lawyers in the North of England.

Sarah said: “Having seen first-hand the benefits first-class representation and effective rehabilitation can have for those who have sustained life changing impairments, it was important that I joined a team of like-minded individuals dedicated to offering outstanding service and a commitment to securing holistic treatment for their clients. As such, I am excited to be joining the neurotrauma team here at Sintons.”

Mark Quigley, managing partner of Sintons, said: “Our neurotrauma team has established itself as one of the leading names in this very specialist field, with our expert lawyers delivering a bespoke, caring service to our clients while fighting hard on their behalf to secure the very best outcome for them and their families. We are seeing strong growth in this field and are expanding our expert team to help us accommodate this.

“Sarah joins from Leigh Day where she has built a wealth of experience in highly complex cases, and we are delighted she has chosen to relocate to join us. Her commitment to excellence and client-focused approach is an ideal fit for our ethos and we wish her every success as part of our neurotrauma team.”
