Join Sintons’ football tournament in aid of The People’s Kitchen

Sintons’ staff, clients, friends and family are invited to join a mixed, five-a-side football tournament in Gosforth to raise funds for The People’s Kitchen.

The Kick About to Help Out event will take place on Friday 22 March and will mark the culmination of two years of fundraising for The People’s Kitchen, which supports homeless and vulnerable people in Newcastle.

David Pritchard, chair of Sintons’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) committee, said: “During the last two years we’ve held all sorts of events, from sponsored dog walks to baking challenges, in aid of The People’s Kitchen.

“Now, we’d love as many people as possible to join us as we try to raise more money for this brilliant charity, which has helped so many people in our city.”

The event, which will take place at Goals in Gosforth, will see mixed teams of players competing for prizes, plus a raffle and more. Teams of up to eight people can enter for £250, with all donations going to The People’s Kitchen.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re a regular football player or if you want to watch from the side lines,” said David. “Everyone is welcome to come along, have fun and show their support for the important work of The People’s Kitchen.”

Every two years, Sintons’ staff choose a charity which the firm supports through a range of fundraising events. Since 2022, nearly £30,000 has been raised for The People’s Kitchen, surpassing the original target of £25,000.

The firm’s next charity partner will be voted for by staff and announced in spring 2024.
