Christmas may be in 4 weeks but the party season starts sooner!

With many bars, restaurants and clubs taking advantage of the Christmas party season, to host office parties and events, it is essential to check that your premises licence allows you to do everything you need to make the party go with a swing.

Often the standard provisions of a premises licence don’t offer the flexibility required for the festive period.

For example, do you want to offer additional licensed activities? Music and dancing or a live band to see in the New Year?

Are the hours during which you can provide regulated activities sufficient for the events you are hosting? You don’t want to be closing the bar at midnight on New Year’s Eve!

Are the conditions on your licence too restrictive? Do you want an event where people can stand and chat around the buffet table but your licence states that customers must be sat down?

If you want to make sure you maximise your returns this festive period let us advise you on submitting a Temporary Event Notice.  After all what would Christmas be without a bit of rocking around the Christmas tree?
