Breaking Eggs | A Sucession Planning Seminar for Estate Owners
Planning for the next generation of your family estate or business is the topic being explored at a seminar involving three of the region’s most prominent rural advisors.
Breaking Eggs will offer advice on succession planning for estate owners and family businesses, and how you can properly protect your assets for the next generation.
The breakfast event, on Friday, May 8, is being held jointly by wealth managers Brewin Dolphin, rural development and planning specialists Rural Solutions and law firm Sintons, and will feature a presentation by senior figures from each business.
Breaking Eggs will be held at Capheaton Hall, near Belsay, in Northumberland the family estate of Willy Browne-Swinburne, associate director of Rural Solutions and one of the speakers at the event. He will be conducting tours of the estate for attendees.
Willy Browne-Swinburne has advised many family estates and businesses on succession planning, and he will address the ups and downs of family issues and how best to go about making provision for the next generation.
Jo Jackson, divisional director and Head of Financial Planning at Brewin Dolphin in Newcastle, alongside Alan Dawson, Chairman of Sintons, will explain their role in the process and how working together can make succession planning a pleasure, not a chore.
Alan Dawson, Partner in Sintons’ Personal and Family department who has over 30 years’ experience of advising high net worth individuals and business owners, said: “Succession planning and putting in place a clear strategy for the next generation can often be a thorny issue but handled properly and in good time, it can be a relatively simple process which can ensure that nothing is left to chance in the future.
“Breaking Eggs offers the combined expertise of three of the leading rural advisers in the North of England, and I would encourage anyone with any questions or concerns about planning for their own succession to come along.”
