Bankruptcy petitions

Upon expiry of the 21 day period of the statutory demand, should the debt remain unpaid and be over £5,000.00, you can present a bankruptcy petition against your individual debtor.

Once a petition has been presented, the creditor must personally serve the petition upon the debtor. Once personally served the debtor must make payment by the hearing date or he or she will be made bankrupt.

Bankruptcy petitions are a very effective tool to help you recover your money. If you wish to find out more about how we can help you with bankruptcy petitions, please contact us.
