The role

We have a vacancy for a full-time 2 to 6 year PQE Solicitor to work in our vibrant and growing Dispute Resolution department of 15 fee earners. This in an exciting time to join the department with many opportunities. The successful candidate will become part of a supportive and motivated team and will be expected to handle cases independently in respect of a wide range of matters whilst working alongside Partners on higher value and technically complex matters.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Commercial Litigation
  • Property Litigation

The role will also involve working alongside colleagues in our Company Commercial, Employment and Commercial Property teams to minimize litigation for existing clients, work to resolve contractual disputes pre proceedings and also deal with contested matters up to trial.

Requirements

An up to date working knowledge of the civil procedure rules and litigation process, a foundation in Company Law. Contract Law, Property Law and Law of Tort is required, together with an ability to build relationships with a broad range of clients from individuals, partnerships and limited companies from a variety of different sectors.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise, cope under pressure and work to strict deadlines. Excellent communication skills are essential, as are managing expectations across a wide range of competing needs, a willingness to cover a variety of tasks and whilst we operate a strong life work balance ethos, the willingness to work outside core hours on occasion.
